Asian markets trade mostly in green in early deals on Friday

Asian markets were trading mostly in green in early deals on Friday following the positive cues from US markets overnight, amid optimism about possible trade deals, with US President Donald Trump saying he has potential trade deals with India, South Korea and Japan as well as expressed optimism about a resolution with China. The Japanese market was notably higher with gains in index heavyweights, automakers and exporters. China market remained closed for Labor Day. 

Hang Seng advanced 374.55 points or 1.67% to 22,493.96, Jakarta Composite gained 22.69 points or 0.33% to 6,789.49, Straits Times rose 11.16 points or 0.29% to 3,843.67, KOSPI increased 9.36 points or 0.36% to 2,565.97, Nikkei 225 surged 436.03 points or 1.18% to 36,888.33 and Taiwan Weighted added 438.72 points or 2.12% to 20,673.75. However, KLSE Composite fell 2.43 or 0.16% to 1,537.79.
