IDFC, non-banking finance company, has decreased the ceiling limit in respect of all the FIIs, FDI, NRIs, OCBs and Foreign Nationals which has now been reduced from 74% to 54%. The company has taken this step after Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued a notice on August 23, 2013 on decrease in Foreign investment limit / ceiling in an Indian Company under PIS addressing to all the Custodian Banks.
Further, the current foreign shareholding in the company is 53.71%, hence the company has advised all the custodian banks to not make any further purchases through secondary markets on behalf of their FII & NRI clients with immediate effect.
IDFC is the country’s leading integrated infrastructure finance player providing end to end infrastructure financing and project implementation services.
