Tech Mahindra, Infosys and Apollo Micro Systems to see some action today

Tech Mahindra’s wholly owned subsidiary -- Tech Mahindra London (TMLL) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Mahindra Racing UK (MRUK) from Mahindra Overseas Investment Company (Mauritius) (MOICML). MOICML is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M). This deal, executed through a share purchase agreement, involves TMLL acquiring 100 per cent shareholding in MRUK for a cash consideration of GBP 1.2 million (around Rs 13.5 crore).

Infosys has completed the acquisition of Australian cybersecurity services firm The Missing Link in an all-cash deal of Australian dollar (AUD) 98 million (about Rs 532 crore). The company has acquired the firm through its wholly-owned subsidiary Infosys Singapore Pte. The acquisition strengthens Infosys' cybersecurity capabilities while bolstering its presence in the fast-growing Australian market.

Apollo Micro Systems’ subsidiary -- Apollo Defence Industries (ADIPL) has on May 02, 2025 executed a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) for the acquisition of 100% equity shareholding of IDL Explosives, a company engaged in the manufacture and supply of bulk explosives used in mining and infrastructure projects. This acquisition is aimed at augmenting the company’s manufacturing capabilities in the area of Defence Explosives, supporting the growing indigenous demand across artillery, missile, and other high-impact defence domains.

AZAD Engineering has signed a Long-Term Supply Agreement with GE Steam Power GMBH acting through its, GE Vernova Power business based in Baden, Switzerland for manufacture and supply of highly engineered and complex rotating and stationary Airfoils for advanced nuclear, industrial, and thermal power industries, meeting GE Vernova global demand in the power generation and essential industries. This current phase of the contract, valued at around $53.5 million (around Rs 452.48 crore) is a robust step towards cementing the company’s everlasting strategic relationship with GE Steam Power GMBH.

AVG Logistics has secured a 6-year long term contract, for lease of Parcel Cargo Express Train (PCET) from the Indian Railways. This special train, connects Agartala (Tripura) / Guwahati (Assam) to Delhi / Ludhiana (Punjab) and will complete 4 trips every month over the next 6 years, totaling 313 trips during the contract tenure. The Carrying Capacity during the trip is expected to be 364 tones per trip for initial 6 months and will increase to 484 tons per trip later. The Express Train Service will cover the distance of 2768 kilometers in 90 hours ensuring expeditious, seamless connectivity between the two locations.

PN Gadgil Jewellers has recorded highest-ever single day festive sales of Rs 139.53 crore on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, reflecting a growth of around 35% over the previous year’s revenue of Rs 103.26 crore. In value terms, gold segment revenue grew by 34% year-over-year, while the Diamond & Silver grew by 23% and 114% respectively.

Coal India has reported marginal rise of 0.49% in coal production to 62.1 million tonnes (MT) (Provisional) during April 2025 as compared to 61.8 MT (Provisional) in April 2024. However, in April 2025, coal offtake decreased by 1.25% to 63.4 MT (Provisional) from 64.2 MT (Provisional) in April 2024.
