Videocon Industries declines on reporting 79% fall in Q2 net profit

Videocon Industries is currently trading at Rs. 169.70, down by 1.10 points or 0.64% from its previous closing of Rs. 170.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 171.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 171.70 and Rs. 169.30 respectively. So far 3221 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 246.25 on 03-Dec-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 163.75 on 31-Jul-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 179.00 and Rs. 165.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5419.12 crore.

Videocon Industries has reported results for second quarter and period ended (18 months) July 30, 2013.

The company has reported 78.79% fall in its net profit at Rs 10.63 crore for the second quarter as compared to Rs 50.11 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company has increased by 6.56% at Rs 3283.92 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 3081.77 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012.

The company has posted a net Loss of Rs. 71.63 crore for the Period ended (18 months) June 30, 2013. Total Income is Rs. 18575.54 crore for the period ended (18 months) June 30, 2013.
