Coal India reports production of 31.68 million tonnes in August 2013

Coal India, the world’s largest coal miner by output has reported provisional production of 31.68 million tonnes in August 2013, as against target of 32.73 million tonnes. The company’s total off-take for the month of August stood at 35.10 million tonnes as against a target of 35.54 million tonnes.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
