BMW Industries has inaugurated two new tube mills and a 1.28 MW rooftop solar power plant at its Jamshedpur facility. The company has invested Rs 50 crore in this project to increase production capacity and meet rising market demand. The rooftop solar system has been installed to partially meet the facility's internal energy needs, helping reduce reliance on conventional power and advancing the company's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals. This shift toward cleaner energy sources underscores company’s commitment to operating in a more sustainable and environmentally responsible manner.
With this addition, the company's tube manufacturing capacity will grow by approximately 60,000 MT per annum, taking the total installed capacity to about 6,00,000 MT per annum. The new facility has been developed to meet rising demand and improve manufacturing capabilities.
