Copper futures settled almost flat on Thursday as investors digested a court ruling that reinstated the most sweeping of President Donald Trump's tariffs. The appeals court ruling came a day after a trade court had ordered an immediate block on the tariffs. Moreover, a weak US dollar supported copper prices to some extent. Investors are now focusing on the US Personal Consumption Expenditures data due Friday, for cues on future US monetary policy.

Copper futures for July delivery gained $0.001 to settle at $4.6755 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up by 0.03 percent at $9,568 a ton.
