ZR2 Bioenergy has informed that ZR2 Bioenergy, is on the verge of entering into a BOOT (Build-Own-Operate-Transfer) agreement with Padmashri Vitthal Rao Vikhe Patil Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana, Asia’s largest cooperative sugar factory based in Ahilyanagar District Maharashtra completing its 75th Crushing season. The biorefinery would comprise of following seasons; Ethanol Plant; Biogas Plant;. Distillery Plant; Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) Plant (Potable Alcohol); Multi Effect Evaporator (MEE Plant) ; RO Plant ; Feedstock and Finished Product Storage Tanks Under the terms of the agreement, ZR2 Bioenergy Ltd will build, own, and operate the biorefinery facility for a 15 + 14-year (extendable) tenure. The BOOT agreement is at the final stage of approval from the Maharashtra State Government and the final execution of the agreement is expected to be completed by June 2025. ZR2 Bioenergy will be undertaking capacity expansion and modernization of the biorefinery turning it one of the most modern biorefineries in India.
