Kernex Microsystems (India) in consortium with VRRC has received letter of Acceptances (LOA) from Southern Railways, Chennai. The accepted bid costs for the projects are Rs 311.03 crore (including GST at 18%). The KERNEX - VRRC consortium has received first contract worth Rs 173.11 crore for provision of Kavach (train collision avoidance system), in MAS-GDR, MAS-AJJ, AJJ-RU, sections (271km) of Chennai division in Southern Railway. The completion period is 730 days from the date of LoA.
The consortium has received another contract worth Rs 137.92 crore (including GST@18%) for provision of Kavach (train collision avoidance system) along with tower and 48 fiber OFC as back bone network in Arakkonam (AJJ JN)-JOLARPETTAI (JTJ JN) section of Chennai division in Southern Railway. The completion period is 540 days from the date of LoA.
