Tata Steel rises on acquiring stake in T Steel Holdings

Tata Steel is currently trading at Rs. 158.65, up by 2.25 points or 1.44% from its previous closing of Rs. 156.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 156.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 159.00 and Rs. 156.55 respectively. So far 667214 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 178.15 on 04-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 122.60 on 13-Jan-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 159.00 and Rs. 150.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 197613.11 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 33.19%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 42.97% and 23.35% respectively.

Tata Steel has on June 25, 2025, acquired 179,10,44,776 equity shares of face value $0.1005 each aggregating to $180 million (Rs 1,562.54 crore) in T Steel Holdings (TSHP), a wholly owned foreign subsidiary of the company. Post this acquisition, TSHP will continue to be a wholly owned subsidiary of the company.
