ACC is aiming to manufacture one lakh bricks a day from its five plants in West Bengal on a franchisee model. The company will use surplus flyash from its cement plants in the Eastern region to make these bricks. In this regard, the company will invest around Rs 30-50 lakh.
Meanwhile, the company will lend its brand, apart from providing manufacturing expertise to the franchises.
While one brick plant is operational in Burdwan, four others are slated to come up in Belda (West Midnapore), Jangalpur, Dhulagarh (Howrah) and Dankuni (Hooghly).
