Birla Corporation has been declared as the ‘Preferred Bidder’ by the Government of Rajasthan, Director of Mines & Geology vide Notification dated July 10, 2025, for grant of mining lease for Tadas Limestone Block-II District Nagaur on the highest final price offer of 63.50% submitted by the company. The aforesaid block is situated in District Nagaur, Rajasthan over an area of 160.39 hectares.
Earlier, the company had been declared as preferred bidder for the Gourum Khan Ki Dhani (South) limestone block in Rajasthan, following an e-auction conducted by the state government. The limestone block is located in Jaisalmer district and covers an area of 499.6394 hectares. The company emerged as the preferred bidder with the highest final price offer of 20.60 per cent.
Birla Corporation is primarily engaged in the manufacturing of cement as its core business activity. It has significant presence in the jute goods industry as well.
