Asian markets trade higher in early deals on Thursday

Asian markets traded higher in early deals on Thursday, mainly led by gains in technology and consumer sector stocks with its global counter partners. Recent data showing growth in manufacturing and service sectors boosted investor confidence. Japan's Nikkei advanced in the session amid favourable economic indicators, and on increased profitability outlook in exports with the weaker local currency yen.

Nikkei 225 up by 42.21 points or 0.11% to 39,705.61, Hang Seng rose by 17.08 points 0.07% to 24,534.84, Straits Times jumped by 17.22 points 0.42% to 4,149.47, Jakarta Composite added by 83.32 points or 1.16% to 7,275.34, Taiwan Weighted lifted by 67.07 points 0.29% to 23,109.97, KOSPI Index climbed by 1.35 points or 0.04% to 3,187.73, Shanghai Composite buoyed by 3.16 points or 0.09% to 3,506.94 and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI enlarged 5.82 points or 0.38% to 1,517.32.
