23 Jul 2025 Evaluate
Copper futures settled higher on Tuesday as weaker American currency makes copper cheaper for holders of other currencies. Copper prices improved further by the slow pace of copper inflows into the United States as traders prepared for the implementation of 50% tariffs, set to take effect on August 1.

Copper futures for September delivery gained $0.084 to settle at $5.7215 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up by 0.60 percent at $9,919.50 a ton.
