Oil India moves up on incorporating joint venture company

Oil India is currently trading at Rs. 438.25, up by 3.50 points or 0.81% from its previous closing of Rs. 434.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 434.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 440.75 and Rs. 432.05 respectively. So far 38609 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 767.30 on 30-Aug-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 322.15 on 07-Apr-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 455.90 and Rs. 433.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 71367.42 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.66%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.44% and 6.91% respectively.

Oil India (OIL) has incorporated a joint venture company in the name of ‘Assam Valley Fertilizer and Chemical Company’ (AVFCCL). This joint venture company amongst Government of Assam (GoA), OIL, National Fertilizers (NFL), Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan (HURL) and Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation (BVFCL). Under this joint venture, the company holds 18% shareholding.

AVFCCL has been incorporated for setting up of a new Ammonia-Urea Complex Namrup IV Fertilizer Plant at Namrup, Assam. 

Oil India, a navratna company, is Asia's oldest and biggest pioneer oil exploration and Production Company.
