EPL, Asian Paints and Hindustan Zinc to see some action today

EPL has invested an amount of Rs 150 crore (equivalent to $1,69,87,542.47) in EPL Brasil, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, for acquisition of additional shares. The current investment by the company in EPL Brasil is towards acquisition of its around 96,337,471 equity shares. This investment is expected to have a favourable impact on EPL Brasil’s financial outlook. The formalities with respect to this investment are expected to be completed by August 31, 2025. The company will continue to hold 100% of the shareholding of EPL Brasil, after this additional investment.

Asian Paints has extended its joint venture agreement in India with PPG. The 15-year renewal will allow the companies to continue serving the country’s industrial, protective, marine, packaging, automotive and powder coatings customers with industry-leading solutions that solve customers’ biggest challenges. The extension will take effect in 2026 and run through 2041.

Hindustan Zinc has expanded its partnership with GreenLine Mobility by signing a contract to deploy the Essar venture's 100 EVs and double LNG trucks to 200 for green logistics. This expansion marks a major step forward in Hindustan Zinc's pursuit of Net Zero emissions, enabled by the widespread integration of EVs and LNG trucks throughout its supply chain.  

Kaynes Circuits India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kaynes Technology India, has entered into a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on August 4, 2025 with Government of Tamil Nadu for investment promotion and facilitation. Under the MoU, Kaynes Circuits India proposes to invest around Rs 4,995 crore over a period of 6 years for the establishment of manufacturing facilities, including greenfield projects and capacity expansions within Tamil Nadu. 

Brigade Hotel Ventures has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to take on lease the Guest Rooms at the World Trade Center (WTC) Chennai admeasuring 67,977 square feet of Super Built-up area. The Guest Rooms are part of WTC Chennai, which is located in Perungudi, OMR Chennai. The MOA has been entered with Perungudi Real Estates, a fellow subsidiary and developer of World Trade Center, Chennai for a period of 16 years from the date of execution of Lease deed.

Triveni Turbine has unveiled India’s first CO2-based high-temperature heat pump, capable of delivering heat up to 122 degrees Celsius and achieving a Coefficient of Performance (COP) of 6. Indigenously developed, the product marks a major step forward in offering clean and future-ready heating solutions to India’s industrial sector. 

BEML and TuTr Hyperloop (THPL) have signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for developing and deploying innovative high-speed mobility solutions and optimized transportation technologies for various projects, including but not limited to Hyperloop, LIM-based cargo transport, and customized wagons etc. THPL will be the design partner and the company will be the manufacturing partner for all the projects taken up under this association.
