Gold futures settle almost flat on Friday

Gold futures were settled almost flat on Friday as the market focus shifted to talks between the US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. Meanwhile, weakness in the American currency makes gold more affordable for holders of other currencies.

Gold futures for December delivery settled almost flat at $3,382.6 on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold was little changed at $3,336.19 an ounce.
