NMDC has registered a 23.35% rise in its iron ore production to 3.75 million tonnes (MT) in September 2025. The company had produced 3.04 MT iron ore in September last year. The sales volumes increased 9.60% to 3.88 MT in September 2025 from 3.54 MT in the same month a year ago.
The company’s Chhattisgarh mines produced 2.49 MT of iron ore and registered sales volume of 2.58 MT in September 2025, while Karnataka mines produced 1.26 MT of iron ore and sold 1.30 MT of iron ore in September 2025.
NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
