Crude oil futures settle higher on Friday

Crude oil futures settled higher on Friday as traders took advantage of weakness in U.S. dollar. Meanwhile, gains remained capped amid over supply concerns with potential production hike by OPEC+ in the month of November. The OPEC+ members are scheduled to meet on October 5 to discuss production hike.

Benchmark crude oil futures for November increased $0.40 or 0.66% at $60.88 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for December delivery slumped $0.42 or 0.66% to settle at $64.53 a barrel on London's Intercontinental Exchange.
