Sandur Manganese gets final approval for diversion of forest land to establish DCS

The Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores has received final approval from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Government of India on October 03, 2025, for diversion of 2.4314 hectares of forest land in Deogiri Swamimalai Forest Block, Sandur Taluk, Bellary District, Karnataka, for establishing a Downhill Conveyor Pipe System (DCS) from Kammathuru Iron Ore Mine to PMBR (BMM) siding in favour of the company.

Based on this approval, the company will now approach Department of Forests & Environment, Government of Karnataka and request for execution of the Forest Lease Agreement in accordance with the applicable provisions.

Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores is engaged in mining of finest low grade, low phosphorous, manganese and iron ores, facility for production of ferroalloys and management of hydro-electric power generation.
