Asian markets traded mostly lower in early deals on Friday, saddled by the risk aversion in the market amidst uncertainty over durability of US-China trade deal. Hawkish tone in Fed Chair Jerome Powell’s comments and sluggish PMI data from China for October, with the dip in factory activity marking the lowest in 6 months, also saddled market confidence. Hang Seng extended losing streak to the third consecutive session and is on track to mark its first monthly drop in six months.

Hang Seng down 212.69 points 0.82% to 26,070.00, Straits Times slipped 14.43 points 0.33% to 4,423.01, Jakarta Composite narrowed by 10.34 points or 0.13% to 8,173.72, Shanghai Composite declined by 29.49 points or 0.74% to 3,957.41, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI lower by 0.58 points or 0.04% to 1,613.62.

On the flip side, Nikkei 225 up by 941.39 points or 1.83% to 52,267.00, Taiwan Weighted added by 98.93 points or 0.35% to 28,386.46, and KOSPI Index lifted 23.39 points or 0.57% to 4,110.28.
