SAIL’s JVC wins prestigious National level NSCI Safety Award

Steel Authority of India’s (SAIL) JVC - NTPC SAIL Power Company (NSPCL) Rourkela has won the prestigious National level NSCI Safety Awards for the year 2012. The third-level Safety Award Suraksha Puraskar (Bronze trophy and Certificate) in Group ‘C’ under the Manufacturing Sector category was conferred for implementing Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Management Systems & Procedures effectively and achieving outstanding performance. The company received the award in a function organized by National Safety Council at SCOPE Convention Centre, New Delhi on October 04, 2013.

NSPCL is a joint venture company (JVC) of NTPC and SAIL to generate power for various steel plants throughout India.

SAIL is India’s largest steel producing company. With a turnover of Rs 49,350 crore, the company is among the five Maharatnas of the country's Central Public Sector Enterprises. SAIL has five integrated steel plants, three special plants, and one subsidiary in different parts of the country.
