Crude oil futures ended higher on Tuesday as traders anticipated that energy demand is likely to increased ahead of Thanksgiving holiday season. Further, crude prices got support with US sanctions on Russian oil exports, which are set to kick in on November 21. In addition, the US Senate is bringing forward legislation, which has the consent of president, to severely sanction Russia's trading partners.
Benchmark crude oil futures for December increased $0.83 or 1.39% at $60.74 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for January delivery gained $0.69 or 1.07% to settle at $64.89 a barrel on London's Intercontinental Exchange.
