Through this agreement, the DRDO has granted a non-inclusive licence to utilise the technology for the manufacturing of DMR 249A steel sheets for naval applications in India and sell to Indian armed forces and other government agencies.

SAIL is India’s largest steel producing company. The company is among the five Maharatnas of the country’s Central Public Sector Enterprises. The company has five integrated steel plants, three special plants, and one subsidiary in different parts of the country.
