Suzlon’s arm completes installation of its 5,000th wind turbine

Suzlon Group - subsidiary - RE power Systems SE has completed the installation of its 5,000th turbine, located in Baden-Wurttemberg's biggest public wind farm, 'GroBer Wald', near Buchen in the Neckar-Odenwald district.

Five RE power 3.2M114 turbines that comprise the windfarm will produce around 28 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually - enough for around 7,500 homes. Through these 5,000 turbines, REpower has so far installed more than 9.6 gigawatts of capacity, enough to supply more than 16 million people - or the entire population of the Netherlands - with electricity.
