Asian markets traded mostly lower in early deals of Thursday, saddled by risk aversion in the market with the woes over inflated valuations in the AI related technological sector stocks. Uncertainty over interest rate paths, currency fluctuations, and general economic slowdowns also saddled the local indices. South Korea’s KOSPI dipped the most among Asian indices with the negative global cues and on decline in foreign inflows with the rise in local currency.

Straits Times down by 13.90 points or 0.31% to 4,540.62, Taiwan Weighted slipped by 101.49 points or 0.37% to 27,691.55, KOSPI Index dipped by 29.31 points or 0.73% to 4,006.99, Jakarta Composite reduced by 0.88 points or 0.02% to 3,877.12, Shanghai Composite down by 3.29 points or 0.08% to 3,894.42, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia lower by 4.68 points or 0.29% to 1,618.

On the flip side, Nikkei 225 surged by 936.32 points or 1.88% to 50,801.00, and Hang Seng up by 43.27 points 0.17% to 25,804.00, and.16
