GE Vernova T&D India, Tata Chemicals and Fortis Healthcare to see some action today

GE Vernova T&D India has secured a contract from AESL Projects for design and establishment of 2500 MW, ± 500 kV High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) VSC Terminal Station (2x1250 MW) for evacuation of renewable power from KPS 3 (Khavda) to South Olpad.

Tata Chemicals’ wholly owned subsidiary -- Tata Chemicals International Pte (TCIPL) has executed a share purchase agreement (SPA) to acquire 100% equity share capital of Novabay Pte. This acquisition is in line with the company's strategic intent to strengthen its capabilities in premium grade products. The cost of the acquisition is at the enterprise value of EUR 25 million (equivalent to around SGD 37.8 million), which is subject to net debt, net working capital and other customary adjustments. Pursuant to the proposed transaction, TCIPL will acquire 100% of the issued and paid-up equity share capital of Novabay, and Novabay will become a wholly owned subsidiary of TCIPL.

Fortis Healthcare has signed a definitive agreement for the acquisition of the 125-bedded People Tree Hospital in Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru (PTHY) by way of a 100% acquisition of TMI Healthcare (TMI Healthcare), the entity under which the PTHY business operations reside. The said acquisition would be undertaken by the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary --International Hospital (IHL). As part of the composite transaction, along with the acquisition of TMI Healthcare, IHL would also acquire the hospital building and the underlying land of PTHY from the promoters of TMI Healthcare and an adjacent land parcel from an independent third party; for a cumulative transaction value of Rs 430 crore (including debt residing with TMI Healthcare).

RITES has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of the Republic of Botswana, represented by its Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, to collaborate on the development and modernisation of transport infrastructure in Botswana. The partnership aims to accelerate the growth of Botswana’s railway and transport infrastructure by deploying advanced technologies, global best practices, and capacity-building initiatives to strengthen local capabilities and enhance efficiency, safety, and reliability across the sector.

Soma Textiles & Industries has secured two construction work orders from its holding company -- Roadway Solutions India Infra. The company has secured first order worth Rs 281.18 crore for the construction of Access Controlled Expressway Connector to Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samrudhi Mahamarg from Jalna to Nanded in the State of Maharashtra. The order is to be executed within 24 months. Further, the company has secured second order worth Rs 62.77 crore for construction of Eight Lane Access Controlled Expressway in the State of Gujarat. The order is to be executed within 12 months.

Emmvee Photovoltaic Power’s material and wholly owned subsidiary -- Emmvee Energy (EEPL) has commenced operation of its 2.5 GW solar module line at Unit VI, Sulibele, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on December 20, 2025. This commissioning forms part of the company’s planned capacity expansion as disclosed in the offer documents filed in connection with its initial public offer and has been completed in line with the envisaged timeline. With this, the company’s aggregate solar module manufacturing capacity now stands increased to 10.3 GW.

PVR INOX has opened a 2-screen multiplex in Leh, Ladakh. Set in Solar Colony, Saboo, along the Leh-Manali Bypass Road in the Himalayas, this two-screen cinema stands at 11,500 feet above sea level, making it India’s highest multiplex and bringing quality film viewing to one of the most striking regions in the country. This landmark property also marks another successful chapter in PVR INOX’s Franchise Owned Company Operated (FOCO) model.
