Zen Technologies, Leela Palaces Hotels and HCL Technologies to see some action today

Zen Technologies has secured Indian Patent for 60 mm Mortar Simulator from the Indian Patent Office. This grant marks a key milestone in Zen Technologies’ innovation journey, taking its portfolio to 57 Indian patents, 85 patents worldwide, and the 8th patent granted in 2025. The achievement reinforces the company’s sustained focus on indigenous R&D and intellectual property creation in advanced defence training technologies. The patented invention delivers a comprehensive, end-to-end solution for training on high-angled firing weapons, including mortar systems. 

Leela Palaces Hotels & Resorts has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary, ‘Leela Opulence Hotels’. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India has issued the Certificate of Incorporation on December 22, 2025. The main object of the company is to own, operate, manage and develop luxury hotels and resorts under ‘The Leela’ brand.

HCL Technologies’ software business division -- HCLSoftware, is planning to acquire Jaspersoft, a business unit of Cloud Software Group and provider of a leading embedded analytics and pixel-perfect reporting platform.  HCLSoftware’s Data & AI division (Actian) is seeing increased demand for its metadata management, data catalog and data governance solutions and has demonstrated good growth over the last five years, driven by enterprise data management solutions. The acquisition will further enhance Actian’s proposition by enabling an end-to-end, immersive data management experience, while expanding reach through a large, global developer community comprised of data engineers and architects actively building, deploying and extending data platforms across the modern enterprise environment.

Royal India Corporation has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with JSC ETC GET (Subsidiary of Rosatom Service JSC). The Memorandum of Understanding shall be focusing on Education, Training, Research, Innovation, Product Development and Consulting & Providing Services in nuclear, thermal, renewable energy and utilities sector.

Sanghvi Movers’ material subsidiary -- Sangreen Future Renewables has been awarded large work orders worth Rs 428.72 crore from prominent Independent Power Producers (IPP's). The order is for EPC for Wind BOP which includes Construction of WTG Civil foundations, Civil Re-engineering works if any, leasing & development of temporary pathways, development of internal pathways & external logistics road, Crane platforms, Crane Boom assembly area, WTG intercarting from storage yard to respective WTG locations, installation of WTGs, Mechanical Completion, Pre Commissioning works, Internal 33Kv line works as well as DP yards for respective WTGs.  

Antony Waste Handling Cell’s (AWHCL) subsidiary -- Antony Lara Enviro Solutions has been awarded a Pre-Processing Waste Management contract by the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC). The award highlights the continued confidence and trust placed by municipal authorities in AWHCL’s proven execution capabilities, operational excellence, and integrated approach across the solid waste management value chain. The contract involves the establishment of a 600–800 TPD Solid Waste Pre-processing Plant on a Design, Build, Operate and Transfer (DBOT) basis on land owned by Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) at Atkoli, Taluka Bhiwandi.

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed a Taj hotel in Cairo marking the brand’s debut in Egypt. The 300-key Taj Cairo will be located at Opera Square, a district steeped in history and cultural significance in the heart of the capital. Overlooking the iconic Azbakeya Garden, one of the city’s oldest public parks, the hotel will offer verdant views in a historic urban setting.
