Bond yields trade flat on Tuesday

Bond yields traded flat on Tuesday as the seasonally adjusted HSBC India Services PMI Business Activity Index fell from 59.8 in November to 58.0 in December, indicating the slowest rate of expansion since January.

In the global market, U.S. Treasury yields moved lower on Monday following the U.S. capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

Back home, the yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading flat with its previous close of 6.63% on Monday.

The benchmark five-year interest rates were trading 1 basis point lower at 6.35% from its previous close of 6.36% on Monday.
