Lord’s Mark Industries has informed that the company has secured a mandate from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for implementation of solar highway lighting across 104 MoRT&H- identified accident-prone and blackspot locations in Phase 1 along key national highway corridors in the Vijayawada region. The mandate has been awarded following a competitive commercial bidding process, wherein the company, in partnership with Signify Innovations India (formerly Philips Lighting India), emerged as the successful bidder for the survey, design, manufacturing, and implementation of the project. The project represents a technology-led intervention in road safety using a data-driven methodology integrating accident analytics, visibility diagnostics, and intelligent solar lighting design aimed at addressing structural safety gaps at blackspots. The solution is engineered to deliver measurable highway safety outcomes by improving visibility parameters including glare, contrast loss, approach angles, and driver reaction zones.
