Andhra Petrochemicals soars on commencing production at Visakhapatnam plant

Andhra Petrochemicals is currently trading at Rs. 11.83, up by 0.30 points or 2.60% from its previous closing of Rs. 11.53 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 11.94 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 11.94 and Rs. 11.60 respectively. So far 10,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 17.70 on 09-Nov-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 9.60 on 12-Jun-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 12.00 and Rs. 11.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 100 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 45.05% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.06% and 54.89% respectively.

Andhra Petrochemicals has commenced production from its plant located at Visakhapatnam with effect from October 14, 2013. The plant has been shut-down from September 04, 2013 due to non-supply of major raw material Propylene from its supplier Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL).

Andhra Petrochemicals was established with a capacity to produce 30,000 MTPA of Oxo Alcohols at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The Plant has recently undergone an Optimization & Modernization Scheme to increase the capacity to 73,000 MTPA.
