Tata Steel gains on getting CCI’s nod to acquire 50.01% equity share capital of Thriveni Pellets

Tata Steel is currently trading at Rs. 184.15, up by 0.70 points or 0.38% from its previous closing of Rs. 183.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 183.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 185.60 and Rs. 180.85 respectively. So far 1065794 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 190.95 on 16-Jan-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 124.20 on 07-Apr-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 190.95 and Rs. 180.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 229820.42 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 33.19%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 44.39% and 21.92 % respectively.

Tata Steel has received approval from Competition Commission of India (CCI) for acquisition of 50.01% equity share capital of Thriveni Pellets from Thriveni Earthmovers. 
Thriveni Pellets is a private limited company engaged in the sale of iron ore pellets in India.
