Cochin Shipyard jumps on bagging order from Polestar Maritime

Cochin Shipyard is currently trading at Rs. 1639.05, up by 28.75 points or 1.79% from its previous closing of Rs. 1610.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1609.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1651.10 and Rs. 1575.00 respectively. So far 196124 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2547.25 on 06-Jun-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1180.45 on 18-Feb-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1657.15 and Rs. 1457.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 43337.30 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.91%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.19% and 22.89% respectively.

Cochin Shipyard (CSL) has bagged a Notable order from Polestar Maritime, for the construction of two Green Tugs of 60 T Bollard Pull Power under the Green Tug Transition Programme (GTTP) of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India. The Tugs are scheduled to be delivered in August, 2027 and September, 2027 respectively. This order is classified as a Notable order (worth Rs 100 crore to Rs 250 crore) according to the order Classification parameters of CSL.

Cochin Shipyard is the first Greenfield and presently the most modern shipbuilding and ship repair yard in India.
