Pharma stocks surge as govt announces Rs 10,000 crore Bio pharma strategy outlay

Stocks of pharmaceutical companies traded higher after Finance Minister announced plan of Rs 10,000 crore Bio pharma strategy outlay.

Biocon is currently trading at Rs 375.45, up by 8.90 points or 2.43% from its previous closing of Rs 366.55 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 368.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 377.30 and Rs. 362.60 respectively.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries is currently trading at Rs 1626.00, up by 31.00 points or 1.94% from its previous closing of Rs. 1595.00 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 1652.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1655.80 and Rs. 1611.90 respectively.
