Textile stocks rise as govt announces new textile skilling plan, proposes National Fibre Scheme

Stocks of Textiles companies traded higher after the government will launch a new plan to develop a comprehensive textile skilling system and has proposed a National Fibre Scheme under the textile sector to strengthen the entire fibre-to-fabric value chain.

Arvind is currently trading at Rs. 321.30, up by 8.35 points or 2.67% from its previous closing of Rs. 312.95 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 314.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 322.75 and Rs. 314.70 respectively. So far 9135 shares were traded on the counter.

Vardhman Textiles is currently trading at Rs. 449.00, up by 16.65 points or 3.85% from its previous closing of Rs. 432.35 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 440.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 464.20 and Rs. 435.35 respectively. So far 54219 shares were traded on the counter.

Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Company is currently trading at Rs. 116.40, up by 1.10 points or 0.95% from its previous closing of Rs. 115.30 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 117.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 117.80 and Rs. 114.55 respectively. So far 5490 shares were traded on the counter.
