Steel stocks trade lower after FM highlights carbon mitigation as key ESG factor

Steel stocks traded lower after FM Nirmala Sitharaman said that Carbon mitigation is a key ESG factor for steel companies.

Steel Authority of India is currently trading at Rs. 148.70, down by 2.35 points or 1.56% from its previous closing of Rs. 151.05 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 148.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 154.60 and Rs. 147.25 respectively. So far 640072 shares were traded on the counter. 

Tata Steel is currently trading at Rs. 190.35, down by 2.75 points or 1.42% from its previous closing of Rs. 193.10 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 190.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 193.80 and Rs. 187.40 respectively. So far 1149886 shares were traded on the counter.

JSW Steel is currently trading at Rs. 1203.90, down by 9.45 points or 0.78% from its previous closing of Rs. 1213.35 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 1196.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1219.70 and Rs. 1192.95 respectively. So far 11649 shares were traded on the counter.
