Banking stocks trade mostly in green as FM proposes high-level committee to review banking sector

Banking stocks traded mostly in green after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that a high level committee will be set up to conduct a comprehensive review of the banking sector, in line with the government’s goals for Viksit Bharat.

Kotak Mahindra Bank is currently trading at Rs. 413.15, up by 5.15 points or 1.26% from its previous closing of Rs. 408.00 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 408.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 414.95 and Rs. 407.00 respectively.

HDFC Bank is currently trading at Rs. 934.90, up by 5.55 points or 0.60% from its previous closing of Rs. 929.35 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 931.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 938.00 and Rs. 925.40 respectively.

State Bank of India is currently trading at Rs. 1061.55, down by 16.00 points or 1.48% from its previous closing of Rs. 1077.55 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 1077.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1083.95 and Rs. 1057.15 respectively.
