Batteries stocks slip despite govt proposes to extend BCD exemption to capital goods used for Li-ion for batteries

Batteries stocks slipped even after government has proposed to extend the basic customs duty (BCD) exemption given to capital goods used for manufacturing Lithium-Ion Cells for batteries, to those used for manufacturing Lithium-Ion Cells for battery energy storage systems too. 

Eveready Industries India is currently trading at Rs. 322.25, down by 13.35 points or 3.98% from its previous closing of Rs. 335.60 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 335.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 335.90 and Rs. 320.00 respectively.

Exide Industries is currently trading at Rs. 317.40, down by 4.10 points or 1.28% from its previous closing of Rs. 321.50 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 323.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 326.00 and Rs. 311.65 respectively.

Amara Raja Energy & Mobility is currently trading at Rs. 837.10, down by 1.30 points or 0.16 % from its previous closing of Rs. 838.40 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 839.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 853.80 and Rs. 821.90 respectively.
