Siemens reported an increase in its net profit for the fiscal year 2011, both on stand-alone and consolidated basis.

Mumbai-based company posted fiscal year stand-alone net profit of Rs 845.43 crore, up by 2% from the Rs 827.21 crore in 2010. For the year, the company’s net revenue increased by 28% to Rs 11,941.91 crore from the Rs 9,315.24 crore last year, while other operating income stood at Rs164.51 crore, compared with Rs 84.83 crore in the same period a year-ago.

For the year, Siemens reported consolidated net profit of Rs 867.75 crore, up by 15% from the Rs 757.77 crore in 2010. Total revenue, including other operating income, grew by 24% to Rs 12,119.18 crore from Rs 9,743.01 crore a year-ago.  During the year, revenue from 'Industry' segment rose by 10% to Rs 5,321.22 crore from the Rs 4,844.07 crore last year, while revenue from 'Energy' grew by 38% to Rs 6,512.44 crore from the Rs 4,707.05 crore in the previous year.

Revenue for the year from 'Healthcare' amounted to Rs 1,047.90 crore, compared with Rs 753.74 crore in 2010, an increase of 39%, while revenue from 'Real Estate' stood at Rs 60.50 crore, compared with Rs 53.58 crore a year-ago.

During the year, Siemens Building Technologies and Vista Security Technics have been Included in the business division of 'Building Technologies' under the Industry Sector, Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics has been included under the Healthcare Sector and Siemens Rolling Stock has been included in the business division 'Mobility' in the Industry Sector since these companies have been amalgamated with the company.
