Physical rubber prices showed some improvement on Tuesday on the back of some short covering. Though, the prices steadied after the initial spurt as the buyers resistance continued in the latter trade but domestic futures strengthened.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety closed at Rs 191/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 190/kg, while the RSS-5 variety remained unchanged at Rs 188/kg.
In the futures market, the contract of RSS-4 for December delivery closed at Rs 193 compared to its previous closing of Rs 188.92, while the contract for January delivery closed at Rs 194.70 compared to its previous closing of Rs 191.02 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
