Biocon reports 14% rise in Q2 consolidated net profit

Biocon has reported results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013.

The company has reported 7.99% rise in its net profit at Rs 95.42 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 88.36 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 11.98% at Rs 579.71 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 517.75 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012.

On consolidated basis, the group’s net profit for the quarter under review grew 13.94% at Rs 102.15 crore against Rs 89.65 crore in the second quarter of previous fiscal. Group’s total income from operation rose 17.23% at Rs 752.54 crore for the quarter from Rs 641.94 crore in the similar quarter of previous year.
