Hindustan Unilever surges on reporting 13% rise in Q2 net profit

Hindustan Unilever is currently trading at Rs. 601.05, up by 6.85 points or 1.15% from its previous closing of Rs. 594.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 603.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs 619.95 and Rs 600.00 respectively. So far 70360 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 725.00 on 24-Jul-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 432.25 on 07-Mar-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 643.70 and Rs 593.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 128499.85 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.25% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 18.36% and 14.38% respectively.

Hindustan Unilever has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2013.

The company has reported a rise of 13.24% in its net profit at Rs 913.80 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 806.92 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.  Total income from operation of the company has increased by 9.04% at Rs 7043.63 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs  6459.56 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012.
