10 Mar 2026 Evaluate

JSW Steel has reported consolidated crude steel production for the month of February 2026 at 23.66 lakh tonnes as compared to 24.07 lakh tonnes in February 2025, lower by 2% Year-on-Year (Y-o-Y).

The company reported crude steel production of 23.06 lakh tonnes from Indian Operations in February 2026 over 23.32 lakh tonnes in February 2025, decreased by 1%. Blast Furnace 3 (BF3) at Vijayanagar is under shutdown for upgradation of capacity since September 2025, impacting Crude Steel production at Indian operations level. Excluding BF3 production from last year’s base, YoY volumes grew around 8% driven by full ramp-up of JVML operations. The capacity utilisation for Indian operations for the month excluding BF3 capacity was at around 97% and including BF3 capacity was at 88%.

JSW Steel USA - Ohio’s crude steel production stood at 0.60 lakh tonnes in February 2026. Production at USA Ohio operations was lower due to ramping up of operations after caster upgrades in January 2026 and extreme weather conditions due to winter storm.

JSW Steel is one of the largest steel manufacturing companies in India having units in Karnataka and Maharashtra producing crude steel, long steel and flat steel products.
