Jindal Stainless declines on reporting net loss of Rs 411.97 crore in Q2

Jindal Stainless is currently trading at Rs. 37.30, down by 0.30 points or 0.80% from its previous closing of Rs. 37.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 37.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 37.80 and Rs. 36.70 respectively. So far 18545 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 88.70 on 11-Dec-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 36.30 on 17-Oct-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 41.00 and Rs. 36.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 760.19 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 43.13% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.46% and 17.78% respectively.

Jindal Stainless has reported results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013.

The company has reported a net loss of Rs 411.97 crore for the quarter as compared to a net loss of Rs 152.26 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company has increased by 47.24% at Rs 3038.79 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 2063.86 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012.

Jindal Stainless manufactures stainless steel slabs, blooms, hot rolled and cold rolled coils, 60% of which are exported worldwide. It has a stainless steel making facility at Hissar and a ferro alloy plant at Vizag.
