Crude oil futures settled lower on Monday as concerns about oil supply disruptions eased after US President Donald Trump instructed the Department of Defence to postpone all military strikes against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure for five days.
Benchmark crude oil futures for May delivery decreased $10.10 or 10.28% to settle at $88.13 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for May delivery fell $12.25 or 10.92% to settle at $99.94 a barrel on London's Intercontinental Exchange.
