Meanwhile, oil prices have pulled back from their recent highs, easing global inflation concerns and supporting the outlook for energy-importing economies. Japanese shares gained tracking gains on Wall Street overnight, but experienced volatility amid uncertainty surrounding the Bank of Japan’s upcoming April 28 policy meeting. Chinese shares rose, despite official data showing that China’s annual export growth slowed sharply to a five-month low of 2.5% in March (reaching $321.03 billion), while imports surged 27.8% to $269.9 billion.
