Nikkei down by 546.34 points or 0.92% to 58,972.00, Straits Times dipped by 11.53 points or 0.23% to 4,996.30, Hang Seng tumbled by 300.26 points 1.15% to 26,094.00, Taiwan weighted narrowed by 279.93 points or 0.75% to 36,852.09, KOSPI Index curtailed by 23.97 points or 0.38% to 6,202.08, and Shanghai Composite decreased by 12.10 points or 0.30% to 4,043.45

On the flip side, Jakarta Composite up by 15.51 points or 0.20% to 7,636.89, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI index widened by 1.53 points or 0.09% to 1,691.24.
