Suzlon Energy, TVS Motor Company and JSW Steel to see some action today

Suzlon Energy and Korean firm GS E&C have exchanged initial pact for a partnership in India's renewable energy business and the optimisation of related solutions. The partnership will focus on mutual cooperation in developing renewable energy projects in India and optimising related solutions (Total project size: around KRW 80 billion; specific investment amount to be determined; around 300 direct and indirect jobs expected). The GS E&C is engaged in engineering and construction.

TVS Motor Company (TVSM) has officially entered into the Zambian market. In a strategic move to bolster its African footprint, the company has appointed Zamoto Manufacturing as its official distributor, ensuring a robust sales, service, and spare parts network across the country. With a young, rapidly urbanizing demographic, Zambia represents a high-potential market for efficient mobility. TVSM is introducing a diverse lineup of eight products, meticulously curated to meet the specific needs of Zambian commuters and businesses.

JSW Steel has entered into a joint venture agreement with South Korean steel major POSCO to set up a 6 million tonnes per annum steel plant in Odisha. The agreement marks a significant step towards deepening strategic collaboration between the two steel companies. The land for the project has already been secured, and once commissioned, the project will be capable of manufacturing high-grade flat steel products for automotive and other applications. The project gives POSCO access to India's high-growth market and will be operational by 2031.

RailTel Corporation of India has received the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. The Estimated size of order as per LoA is Rs 86.36 crore (Including Tax). The LoA is for provisioning, configuration, testing, commissioning, operations & maintenance of Cloud Services for BMC. The order is to be executed by June 05, 2029.

Hyundai Motor Company (Hyundai Motor) and TVS Motor Company have signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) to advance the development and commercialization of innovative Electric Three-Wheeler (E3W) solutions designed specifically to address India's last-mile mobility needs. Under the agreement, Hyundai Motor will lead the design of and co-develop the E3W by leveraging its research and development expertise, advanced mobility technologies and human-centric design approach.

Oil India’s wholly owned subsidiary -- OIL Green Energy (OGEL) has entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Numaligarh Refinery (NRL), on April 20, 2026, for collaboration in the development, procurement and supply of renewable energy, with special emphasis on group captive requirement. The collaboration is envisaged to facilitate diversification and scaling up of OGEL’s renewable energy portfolio, while supporting Oil India Limited’s net zero target by 2040 and contributing to the Government of India’s vision of achieving net zero emissions by 2070.
