Videocon Industries jumps on successfully Appraisal Well in BM-C-30 in Brazil

Videocon Industries is currently trading at Rs. 180.75, up by 1.50 points or 0.84% from its previous closing of Rs. 179.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 177.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 184.45 and Rs. 171.55 respectively. So far 2, 93,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 246.25 on 03-Dec-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 163.75 on 31-Jul-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 180.00 and Rs. 171.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5,763 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.82% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 12.15% and 10.86% respectively.

Videocon Industries has informed that Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in its Q3 Operations Report that the Wahoo-5 appraisal well in BM-C-30 Concession drilled the eastern flank of the Wahoo structure and encountered more than 200 net feet of high-quality pay in a pre-salt reservoir, with a total hydrocarbon column now established at 460 feet. Anadarko, through a wholly owned subsidiary, holds a 30-percent working interest and is the operator of BM-C-30. BP holds a 25-percent working interest, IBV Brasil (a Brazilian Joint Venture Company equally held by Videocon Energy Brazil , a wholly owned overseas subsidiary of Videocon, and BPRL Ventures N.V., a wholly owned subsidiary of Bharat Petroleum Corporation, a Government of India majority held company) holds 25-percent and Maersk holds the remaining 20-percent working interest.

Wahoo 5 Appraisal Well was spudded on June, 17 2013 using Blackford Dolphin Rig.
