ABB India has received orders worth Rs 1,762 crore during the quarter ended September 30, 2013, registering a 5% growth over the order intake of Rs 1,679 crore for the corresponding quarter in 2012. The emerging sectors like renewables, exports and rail continued to grow faster than the conventional market segments.
The company’s order backlog stood at Rs 8,252 crore at the end of the quarter as compared to Rs 9,062 crore during the same period last year.
The company has reported 78.15% rise in its net profit at Rs 38.07 crore for the third quarter ended September 30, 2013 as compared to Rs 21.37 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However , total income of the company has decreased by 1.26% at Rs 1786.82 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1809.56 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012.
